WAIS-R (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale): a test used to evaluate intelligence levels in adults, elaborated and standardized by David Wechsler (the letter R stands for ‘revised version’).
WDEP (Reality Therapy): the basic formulation adopted in reality therapy. Each letter stands for a different procedure: W (Wants), D (Doing), E (Evaluation) and P (Planning).
Wernicke’s syndrome: An acute cerebral disorder linked to severe forms of alcoholism.
